Global Passenger Transport

چکیده
Global passenger transport consists of all travel by private and public road vehicles, rail travel, air non-motorized travel. The vehicular component expanded an estimated 14-fold between 1950 2018, so that now it is not only a major energy user CO2 emitter, but also the cause variety other negative effects, especially in urban areas. future will be increasingly subject to two contradictory forces. On one hand, vast present inequality mobility nations should produce steady growth as low-mobility countries raise material living standards. any such expansion already large global task magnify effects result highly uncertain future.

Public Transport Ontology for Passenger Information Retrieval
Passenger information aims at improving the user-friendliness of public transport systems while influencing passenger route choices to satisfy transit user’s travel requirements. The integration of transit information from multiple agencies is a major challenge in implementation of multi-modal passenger information systems. The problem of information sharing is further compounded by the multi-l...
متن کاملTaxonomy of Global Air Transport
Data from the United Nations and the International Civil Aviation Organization Information Systems were used as a base for characterizing, classifying and comparing air transport demand and supply features of 156 countries. Relevant data from 1980 were chosen to reflect five sets of characteristics namely, air transport, 50cm-economic status, population demography, geographical and environmenta...
متن کاملPassenger and Pedestrian Modelling at Transport Facilities
The modelling of passengers and pedestrians at transport facilities remains a complex issue to be addressed by industry within a transportation context. Passenger and pedestrian movements are a key component in all transport systems including public transport operations, interchange facilities and airport operations. Pedestrian performance is also a significant issue for design of retail centre...
متن کاملEnergy Chain Analysis of Passenger Car Transport
Transport makes up 20 percent of the World’s energy use; in OECD countries this has exceeded 30 percent. The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that the global energy consumption will increase by 2.1 percent annually, a growth rate that is higher than for any other sector. The high energy consumption means that transportation accounts for nearly 30 percent of CO2 emission in OECD count...
متن کاملModelling Transport Energy Demand and Emissions: Development of a Global Passenger Transport Model Coupled with Computable General Equilibrium Model
Transport accounted for around 23% of carbon emissions in 2013, which cannot be ignored in terms of global greenhouse gas emissions and climate change. With levels of urbanization and motorization increasing rapidly worldwide, carbon emitted in the transport sector, especially passenger traffic, is projected to keep growing. Without the implementation of aggressive and sustained policy interven...
